Call For Proposal

Call for Proposal

The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI)- Cambodia is a CIDA-funded program, currently administered from the Canadian Cooperation Office in Phnom Penh. For this fiscal year 2009/2010 it has a budget of Cdn$ 125,000 (approx. 100,000USD), and an overall goal to assist with the economic and social development of communities. To complement CIDA’s bilateral programming in Cambodia, the primary objective of the Canada Fund will be to assist in meeting the basic human needs of impoverished people. Within the context of addressing basic human needs, the Canada Fund this fiscal year will be used to support projects that will address Land Rights, Food Security and Income Generation of Cambodia’s rural men and women.

The Canada Fund is now calling for proposals from NGOs and/or CBOs that are committed to working with Cambodia’s rural communities. The proposal should address at least one of the above objectives with a proposed budget between 10,000US to 25,000USD.

Interested NGOs/CBOs may obtain the Project Application Form and other relevant information could be downloaded from the website: www.cco-cambodia.org or from the Canadian Cooperation Office (CCO) located at: # 50, St. 334, Boeung Keng Kang I, Chamcar Morn, Phnom Penh, PO Box 402, Tel: 855-23 215 496

The deadline for the submission of proposals is 5 PM on 31 May 2009. The proposals will be assessed by the Project Review Committee, which will be set up by CCO. Only short-listed NGOs/CBOs will be contacted for further discussion.
